Annual Men's Fishing Trip

Versa Care Centre, Thunder Bay has a Men's Only Fishing Trip to Eagle Ridge Trout Pond every August. We have the pleasure of volunteers from Wilderness Discovery help us with the outing.
After a bus ride out to the lake, residents enjoy a picnic lunch prepared by our Dietary Department. Everyone tries their luck in the trout pond, and "if" we catch a fish we bring it back home to be prepared for our supper. Last year the kitchen did an awesome job of BBQ Trout complete with panfries and beans! This year we even caught a "snake" but it got away!
We always remember that, "A bad day of fishing is better than a good day of work."
