The Miss Kelowna Lady of the Lake Society is a long-running community program, in which young ladies are sponsored and compete in various areas for the title of Queen and Princess of Kelowna. For the past five years, The Dorchester Retirement Residence has played host to the fashion presentation of the competition.
On Wednesday, April 18, 2007 approximately 200 residents, guests, family and friends gathered along with the judges, pageant organizers and contestants for a stunning fashion show in the elegant dining room of The Dorchester. The contestants made their entrance down the grand staircase and paraded through the dining room modeling a lovely array of business, casual, modern and formal wear fashions. The reigning Lady of the Lake, Queen and Princess of Kelowna, made a presentation to Dorchester resident Audrey Leonard on behalf of The Dorchester Retirement Residence, thanking the management and residents for their on-going support. A very special thank you goes out to Terese Elviss, Marketing Director, Stacey Baker, Recreation Director and Julie Oriss, Recreation Assistant, all from The Dorchester, for their incredible efforts in making this day a special one for all involved! What a team we have at The Dorchester.
